Welcome
Crafting brings me great joy, it's a way for me to have some me time and relax. Recently I have had lots of interest in a few of the items I make, now that I am selling some things and coming up with new ideas every day I wanted to have a place to show it all off and spread the word.
So you are probably wondering where the cure part comes in. Shortly after the birth of my first daughter my grandpa because very sick, what we first thought was phenomena was quickly diagnosed as lung cancer. My life was forever changed from that moment on. My grandpa was one of the few men in my life I knew I could always count on, I think of him now as the father I really needed. He picked up where my own father often fell short. Grandpa was the first person there when my daughter was born, while everyone else was snuggling up on the new baby grandpa was with me making sure I was ok. He was an amazing man and I miss him every second of every day.
After losing grandpa cancer prevention/fundraising has become very important to me. My work has a relay for life team and I have been involved in that every year. I am always trying to come up with new ways to raise money for our team. This year I put on the a Top Dog Beauty pageant. For being the first year and just having my second daughter is was a pretty big success. I have decided that I will donate 20% of my profits from my crafts to our relay team. As soon as this years Relay for Life page is started for our team I will post a link so you can all track my progress. I am excited that doing something I love will help something I am very passionate about. I have a million ideas in my head of crafts and new projects so check back often.
